A national veterans advocacy organization is taking Alabama’s Sen. Jeff Sessions to task for his failure to support policies that support our veterans and their families. Empowering Veterans has named Sessions one of the “10 Worst Senators” in supporting our veterans.

The group details Sessions failure to
• support legislation fully funding our troops in Iraq
• hold accountable organizations engaged in fraud and waste in Iraq
• provide veterans with adequate health care

Jeff Sessions has broken faith with our men and women in uniform and he should be held accountable. Senator Sessions record on veteran’s issues is shameful and the men and women who serve keeping our country safe deserve better.

The Alabama Democratic Party will offer a stark contrast to the Sessions record in 2008, giving Alabama voters a chance to elect a Senator who stands up for our troops and not one who just gives them lip service in Alabama while voting against them in D.C.
